PHEW!! What a busy Saturday! On Friday we had my brother and his family over because my sister and her kids were visiting from Lubbock! It was fun! To my surprise we had the joy of having my Niece stay the night with Addison!! The girls stayed up til1 am!! They had so much fun, Bobby and I were busy keeping there movies running and snacks going! Good Times!!
Her is my niece the next day for our Pancake breakfast!!
Our day continued with a Recital from my very talented cousin Hannah Rigg!! She is a Graduate Student At SMU and is sooo talented!! I love her so much and am very proud of her. Unfortunately Bobby was called into his work on our way out to Dallas so we were late, really late. We walked in as Hannah was taking her bow... Better late than never, right.
Bobby and I then took advantage of being in Dallas near North Park Mall and we visited the place we first met and worked for a few years together at. KONA GRILL!! We split the avocado egg rolls and chicken tacos!!!! We Can't get enough if their food and only wish (although it is best) we lived closer.
Our family then got together at my Aunt/Uncle G&G's house. SAUSAGE Balls! sooo goood. It was great to catch up with everyone. I particularly enjoyed talking with my Uncle Dan about his level of strength he has had in all the hard times he has had to endure. I can not image the pain he has had to deal with and strength he has had to show. My sweet Aunt/Uncle D&D have lost 2 of their kids to murder and a car accident only a few years apart of each other. They were both lost before they were 21. I can not image this loss and would find it hard to go on. My Uncle explained that he has peace in his heart because he knows that his kids were SAVED and are in Heaven. This is what comforts him. Although I can see the pain in his eyes as he recalls the memories of the day his son was killed, I can also see his strength, his kind heart has the joy of HIS love and this makes everyday easier for him. RIP Isaac and Becky Rigg. <3
And the night cap... My Bestest friend Heather (front left) since high school is turning 29!! So we went out for her birthday... It was so much fun and refreshing to get away for adult conversation. I love her friends (my new friends, hehe) Janet and Erica too.
What a great long day surrounded by family and friends!!
